The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Paul Scheid can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I was a student at MCCC in the early 80s and he was and always will be ‘Prof’ to me. I will always cherish his quick wit, wry smile, and kind, yet challenging manner, fond memories of him have come flooding back as I write this. By far my favorite teacher, I am better for having known Prof Scheid.

Condolence: So sorry for your loss. I sang in the choir many years ago when Paul was choir master. He also played the music at my wedding in 1980, and he made sure there was a trumpet player to play Trumpet Voluntaire for my walk down the aisle! RIP .🕊🕊

Condolence: Paul was a true colleague in my life; he was always willing to assist, and had the quality of being able to listen. As an advisor for registering veterans I had the need to consult with Paul, Mercer's veterans coordinator. He was thorough in his explanations. We often had a chat about our common interest in music. Paul, a great person. He will be missed.

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Scheid's passing. He was my favorite teacher at MCCC and he always showed his picture of his "Pride and Joy". A picture of dishwashing detergent... Pride and Joy..:0) You will be missed, Mr. Scheid.. Keep playing your music in heaven.

Condolence: Paul was a true patriot, colleague and friend. His dedication to Mercer's military students was admirable. On Veteran's Day, Paul came to the office in his full military uniform and would send an inspiring email to the college community about the importance of remembering our veterans. Furthermore, Paul will be remembered as a talented musician choral director, husband, father and friend.

My sincere condolences to Sherry and family.
He will be missed.
