Obituary for Vincent P Bernotas

Vincent Bernotas, Lieutenant Colonel, USAF, (ret) age 64 of Mt Holly passed away peacefully at home Wednesday April 11th. He was born on December 10th 1953 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania and lived in Mt Holly for the past 18 years.

A graduate of Ashland state general hospital school of Nursing, Stephens university for undergraduate, and Norwich university for his masters degree. Vincent worked as a certified registered nurse anesthetist in the US Air Force after receiving his commission September 12, 1979 living in Delaware, Michigan, Lakenheath UK, New York, and ultimately New Jersey before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after 24 years of service in 2003. In his spare time he enjoyed restoring classic cars, fishing, taking day trips, and HAM radio where his call sign was N2WXF.

He is predeceased by his parents Vincent and Theresa Bernotas, and his sister Donna Bernotas.

He leaves behind his wife of 44 years Deborah Bernotas (Olley), three children, Vincent and his wife Kasey of Bordentown, Rachael and her husband Robert Graham of Bordentown, Aaron and his wife Caitlin of Cream Ridge, and his beloved German Shepherd Mieke. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Kiernan, Jessa, Robby, Rowan, and Joseph, as well as several siblings and relatives

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Capital K9 Association PO Box 8762 Trenton, NJ 08650.

A Celebration of Vincent’s life will be held on Thursday April 19 2018 10:00 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held that morning from 9:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Brig. Get. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown NJ.
