Rose Marie Devey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Morris Hall Meadows at Lawrenceville with her loving family by her side.

Born in Trenton, she was a long time resident of the Chesterfield-Bordentown community. Rose Marie’s calling in life was caring for others. She spent over 70 years of her life as a Registered Nurse working for St. Francis Hospital, CHOP, and Mercer County Geriatric Center. A proud parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Rose Marie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

Daughter of the late August and Mary Scharer, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, William S. Devey, her brothers, Francis A. Scharer, Robert J. Scharer, and her sister, Margaret M. Diblin,

She is survived by her loving children, Ret. Navy Cmdr. William S. & Lauraleigh Devey; Robin M. & Lance Heisler; Gail E. & William Reidy; her grandchildren, Raymond L. Nagy Jr.; Julie & Jeff Jenei; Cymber Peters, & great grandchild, Tierney Peters.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rose Marie’s name to Friends of the New Jersey Library for the Blind and Handicapped, P.O.Box 434, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 11:00am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ 08505. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
