Patricia Ellen (Gausz) Skelly of Bordentown, N.J. passed from this life in the early hours on Thursday June 21, 2018, at the age of 65 after a long illness.
Pat grew up in Watchung, NJ and was a graduate of the University of Delaware and Rutgers University Law School. She began her practice of law as an Attorney for the State of New Jersey, Department of Environmental Protection; and then went into private practice for many years. She was also an Adjunct Professor who taught Law at Burlington County College NJ, and Communications at Gloucester County College NJ.
She spent her life protecting our environment, building communities and supporting environmental education throughout the state and nation. She was the recipient of a lifetime achievement award from the Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education (ANJEE) as well as the US Environmental Protection Agency Region 2 for her work in environmental education and literacy. She served on the Bordentown City Environmental Commission, as well as the Board of Directors for the North-East Sustainable Energy Association, served on the American Tour De Sol, and as President and a longtime member of the Executive Board of the Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael; children Michael and Kathryn; and 4 siblings: John Gausz (Mary Pat), Mary Schwartz (Chris), Carol Gausz, and Ann Schwantes (Jay) along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Jennifer Marie Skelly and parents John and Peg Gausz.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday June 30th at the Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community, 39 Park Street, Bordentown, NJ. Family and friends are invited to visit at 10 am to 11 am. Memorial Service will be held at 11 am.
